The Give and Go: Which Contenders Need a Trade?

The Give and Go is a quick back and forth between Paul Mitchell and Chris St. Jean about a relevant subject in the NBA at that moment.  


Paul: The NBA’s trade deadline is just hours away. We’ve covered various aspects of the deadline already, with trades we want to see happen and the thought process behind rebuilding teams moving draft picks, but let’s switch our focus this week to the contending teams. The Dallas Mavericks, Cleveland Cavaliers, Houston Rockets, and Memphis Grizzlies have already made big moves to stabilize their deficiencies for the playoff push, but which (other) playoff hopefuls need a talent infusion for the stretch run of the season?

Video of the Day: The Legend of Goran

Goran Dragic has openly spoken about how this off-season will be one of the toughest decisions in his lifetime.  He's a free agent to be currently playing for a team that made two long-term contract offers to point guards last summer and as we saw with the Rajon Rondo trade, the market for point guards isn't very good, but Dragic is a special player.

Last season, Dragic was a member of the All-NBA team, and although he got off to slow start this season, he's currently averaging 16.5 points, 4.0 assists, and 3.4 rebounds per game while shooting over 50% from the field and 35% from 3-point range.  But beyond the numbers, Goran is a truly unique player in today's NBA and this play is just one of many examples of that:
